Helmet Head 64

November 2018 (Week 4)

Finished with the appearance of the Thunder Helmet but I need to add some spark particles running across the top and such. Used a 512x normal map and AO map as well as a 256x color ID map so the colors can easily be changed later. Still not set on what the abilities for the Helmet will be other than obvious lighting bolt attacks. I want something that can also be used for platforming.

June 2018 (Week 1)

+ worked on the bubble and boomerang helmets
+ made candy props
- Level design is slow

May 2018 (Week 2)

+ refined level geometry
+ reworked a few animations
+ made a UFO container for helmets
+ made a worm enemy that pops up from underground

April 2018 (Week 4)

+ more environment texturing
+ created event objects for spawning enemies/collectibles etc when certain conditions are met
+ made some "flytrap" objects for feeding bugs to
- player animations are still hideous which limits how much I can show off

April 2018 (Week 3)

+ made some environment textures
+ finished a spider enemy model
- lost quite a bit of time to computer issues

April 2018 (Week 1)

+ made some thick storm clouds
+ blocked in some of the first non-hub level
- still more blockin needed

August 2017 (Week 5)

+ Improved slope and helmet sliding physics
+ Made collectible coins
+ Made pinball props for first level

August 2017 (Week 4)

+ Added Ground Pound and Super Ground Pound
+ Added two types of breakable crates
+ Added visual flair for the Spin Jump
+ Started work on the first level

August 2017 (Week 3)

+ Finished first enemy, including material and logic
+ Added punch/kick combo, and air kick
+ Added Backflip and Spin Jump

August 2017 (Week 1)

+ added long jump and sideflip
+ added helmet for skidding and slicing
+ made an enemy model
- jumps still need more tweaking to feel right
- robot guy still untextured, grasshopper enemy textured but I don't like how it turned out
